I chose this moment because I’m impressed with Hermann Maier, eventhough he experienced a terrible accident in the ski racing competition in the 1980’s Winter Olympics, he could stand still and won two gold medals in the competition. A lot of the audiences said that he wouldn’t stand back and continue the competition. However, he could stand back, and continued the race. And what was more amazing, he beat the rest of the contestants who was still fit and didn’t experience an accident.
He won and scored the best and fastest time, which was just some milliseconds faster than the second fastest time. My friend said that he wasn’t a human, because he could still fight back eventhough he experienced a terrible accident. I think Hermann Maier’s strong will should be a good example for us.
